Camp Sangamon is an overnight camp for boys and non-binary children on 200 acres with a small lake near Rutland, founded in 1922. Campers direct their own day by choosing from over twenty activities, including waterfront, creative arts, a farm and garden program, riding and hiking trips. The community is about 90 campers living in cabin groups of eight to ten with three staff leaders.

Camp community is 45 staff and 30 counselors-in-training. Every staff member is trained on arrival, most are certified in first aid and CPR, and medical staff range from EMTs to nurse practitioners.
