The Acadia Institute of Oceanography is a marine-science camp in Seal Harbor (town of Mount Desert) that has introduced students ages 10-18 to physical, chemical, biological, and geological oceanography since 1975 through classroom instruction, lab work, and offshore excursions. More than 200 students attend each summer from across the country and abroad, and an advanced track offers University of Maine college credit.

Acera School's summer enrichment offers STEAM programs such as coding, physics, filmmaking and outdoor exploration for ages 5-14, plus a Counselor in Training program for ages 15-17. Programs run in half-day AM and PM blocks at 5 Lowell Avenue in Winchester.

Action Adventures Day Camp is run by Berkshire South in Great Barrington for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade, or up to age 14. Days combine sports, arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, drama, recreational swimming and STEM activities, with weekly themes such as S.T.E.A.M., Wizard Academy and Camp Rock. The camp runs nine weeks, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Adventure Camp is a state-licensed summer day camp run by the Nashua Adult Learning Center for children entering grade 1 through completing grade 6. It meets at 40 Arlington Street from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with swimming, field trips, trips to New Hampshire state parks, theme days, community service projects, arts and crafts, cooperative sports and STEM activities. The center also runs school vacation week camps.

Scout-run day camp open to children in grades 1 to 5, with no Scouting experience required, at Adventure Base Camp (Camp Champlin) in Cranston. A traditional summer day camp in Middletown serving Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth, Tiverton, Little Compton, Bristol and Warren, with on-site activities and field trips all summer. Activities include a wilderness skills lab, makers' studio, science, field games and visiting presenters.

Ages 8–12

A farm day camp on the 120-acre Auer Farm using a STEAM curriculum with time in barns, gardens, a play forest, stream and trails. Groups run from Sprouts (ages 3-5) through a grades 9-10 Leadership program.

Day camps on the 34-acre lakeside Bancroft School campus in north Worcester for campers entering kindergarten through grade 8, open to families outside the school. Programs include general day camp, academic camps in reading, writing, math and leadership, specialty camps such as robotics, musical theater and coding, athletic camps and a Counselor-in-Training program. Campers swim at the Greendale YMCA across the street.

Town of Barrington day camps run by the Recreation Department: Cool Kids Camp (ages 5-7), Camp Endeavor (8-11) and the BEST Summer Theatre Camp (8-18). Weekly themes in 2026 included Safari, Carnival, Science Lab and Camp Olympics, with a beach day each Thursday for Camp Endeavor.

ACA-accredited day camp run by Belmont Day School for ages 3 to 15, with a general day camp in four two-week sessions, Journeys day-trip camp for grades 5 to 8, specialty camps and one-week sports camps. Every group has daily swim lessons and afternoon free swim, and the camp reports more than 350 campers on site each day. The summer program is described as well into its eighth decade.

Blue Hills Nature Camp is a Mass Audubon day camp based at Blue Hills Trailside Museum on Chickatawbut Hill, with access to the 7,000-acre Blue Hills Reservation. Campers ages 5 to 15 explore nature through hands-on activities, art and daily hikes, in age groups from Chickadees to Teen Adventurers. The camp states it is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA-accredited) and uses a sliding-scale tuition based on family income.

Boston Leadership Institute, based in Wellesley, runs science, medicine, engineering and forensics summer programs for middle and high school students at campuses including Gann Academy/Bentley, Wellesley and Newman School in Boston. The 2027 three-week schedule is posted.

A coed traditional day camp at 104 Goose Green Road in northern Connecticut with aquatics, sports, outdoor adventure, and arts and sciences, weekly theme weeks and a CIT program. The 2026 schedule runs weekly sessions June 22 to August 14.

The Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth runs a weekday summer program for ages 6 to 13, with a counselor-in-training option for ages 14 to 15, built around weekly themes from science to design and construction. Days include art, science, gym, outdoor play and a computer lab, with most field trips, meals and snacks included in the fee. The program is licensed by the Plymouth Board of Health.

Brunswick School's open-enrollment Summer Session offers courses, workshops, camps and theater workshops across Pre School, Lower, Middle and Upper School divisions, and was returning for summer 2026. Middle and Upper School classes are coed while Lower School and Pre School are all-boys, with sports camps that pair with morning sessions.

Camp Atwater is a residential youth camp owned and operated by the Urban League of Springfield, which describes it as the oldest African American-owned and operated residential youth camp in the nation. Campers ages 8-15 do swimming, archery, sports, STEM, nature exploration, arts, and leadership and cultural enrichment programming.

Mass Audubon's Boston Nature Center in Mattapan runs a nature day camp with outdoor exploration, hands-on activities and science education. A satellite camp was held at the British International School of Boston in 2026, and 2027 registration is "coming soon."

Camp Cabot is the Waltham YMCA day camp at 725 Lexington Street, with age groups Caboteers (3-4), Pioneers (5-6) and Cabot (7-12). Older campers choose their own activities each week, and the camp is American Camp Association accredited and licensed by the local board of health.

A YMCA day camp on more than 80 acres at 15 Canton Road, serving the Farmington Valley with archery, bouldering, a climbing wall, swimming, arts and crafts, nature hikes, a low ropes course and a splash pad. Originally established in 1962 as Holiday Ridge Day Camp, it runs ten one-week sessions from June 15 to August 21 in 2026 and has units from grades 1-2 through grades 7-8 plus leader and counselor-in-training groups.

A free summer day camp on a 36-acre campus in Farmington for children ages 5 to 12 who live in the City of Hartford or the Town of East Hartford, which the camp says has served Hartford's children since 1894. Campers are bused from assigned stops and get breakfast and lunch. Daily programs include arts and crafts, nature, music and performing arts, swimming, sports, a computer lab and a LEGO STEM program.

Camp Cutler is a YMCA of Greater Hartford day camp at the Hale YMCA in Putnam, serving grades K–7 (ages 5–12) with arts and crafts, STEM, literacy, sports, free daily swim lessons, and free breakfast/lunch through Putnam School Food Services. Staff complete over 40 hours of orientation before campers arrive.
