One of the oldest and largest Scout camps in the country, founded in 1916 on a 1,800–2,000+ acre reservation divided into three sub-camps (Three Point, Medicine Bow, Sandy Beach), operating 8 weeks each summer. It has an unusually formalized, long-running counselor-development pipeline — the Apprentice-in-Training program dating to 1956, now called the Yawgoog Leadership Experience — that builds staff from camper alumni, giving it more institutional depth than most other camps in this set.

Public reviews

Reported from public review sites, not verified or hosted by Booka.

4.7/5 (365 reviews) per its Chamber of Commerce directory listing, which commonly mirrors Google review data though this could not be independently confirmed directly on Google Maps. A Yelp business page also exists. Separately, AllTrails rates the reservation's hiking trails (Green Fall Pond/Yawgoog Pond) at 4.6/5 from 185 reviews — a trails rating, not a camp-program rating, so it is noted but not reported as the camp's own score.
