Ages 4–14

A farm and nature day camp at Appleton Farms, a working farm in Ipswich, where campers do barnyard chores, tend the Learning Garden, hike and explore woods and wetlands. Half-day, full-day, junior CIT and CIT programs run for nine weeks, and 2027 registration opens January 7, 2027.

Ages 5–13

A weekly day camp on Arethusa Farm property at 14 Webster Road in Litchfield for ages 5 to 13, running ten weeks from June 15 to August 21, 2026. The site says the camp was run with Litchfield County UConn 4-H and first ran in summer 2025.

Ages 3–15

A farm day camp on the 120-acre Auer Farm using a STEAM curriculum with time in barns, gardens, a play forest, stream and trails. Groups run from Sprouts (ages 3-5) through a grades 9-10 Leadership program.

Blue Rider Stables runs weekly summer horsemanship sessions focused on horse care and bareback, balanced-seat riding, with a maximum of ten children per week. Full-day sessions include two riding lessons and half-day sessions include one.

A horse camp at Brushy Hill Farm, 15 Coachmans Drive, with a daily riding lesson, stable management, barn safety, horse care and first aid, grooming and tacking up, games, crafts and weekly demonstrations including a farrier visit. The farm says the camp has run for over 45 years and lists eleven 2026 weekly sessions from June 15 to August 28.

Ages 4–15

A nature-focused, tech-free day camp on more than 700 acres in Deep River with a private lake, low ropes course and a farm with animals. Programs include Seedlings (4-5), Main Camp (5-13), Scout Survival Camp (13-15) and a CIT program.

Ages 9–17

A co-ed overnight camp for neurodivergent children and teens on 400 wooded acres with a 65-acre lake, offering traditional camp activities with a social-skills focus and a high counselor-to-camper ratio. 2027 runs two three-week sessions, plus a family camp and a "Beyond Akeela" program.

Camp Betsey Cox is an overnight camp for girls, young women and gender non-binary campers on Burr Pond near Rutland, founded in 1953 and still a family business. A traditional Cape Cod overnight camp founded in 1928, with Camp Burgess for boys and Camp Hayward for girls on opposite shores of Spectacle Pond on over 300 acres. Sessions run one or two weeks, plus CIT programs and adventure trips for ages 12-17.

A small nonprofit overnight camp for girls on 84-acre Twigg Farm in Union, Maine, with a private lakefront on Seven Tree Pond, gardens, art and a flexible schedule. Sessions have just 8 to 20 campers.

A week-long summer farm day camp at a working micro-dairy and market garden in Hartland where children help with barn chores, meet Jersey cows and draft horses, and do garden work and crafts. The farm is taking deposits for 2027 and says 2026 sold out.

A seven-week nature camp (June 22 to August 7, 2026), 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with weekly themes and hands-on outdoor activities and animal care. Our Living Planet serves ages 3-6 and Eco Explorers serves ages 7-10.
