Camp Kiniya is an overnight camp for girls ages 9-14 on the shores of Lake Champlain, founded in 1919 and run by Camp Dudley since 2006. Camp Sangamon is an overnight camp for boys and non-binary children on 200 acres with a small lake near Rutland, founded in 1922. Campers direct their own day by choosing from over twenty activities, including waterfront, creative arts, a farm and garden program, riding and hiking trips. The community is about 90 campers living in cabin groups of eight to ten with three staff leaders.

A weekly summer day camp on a certified organic farm and Vermont nonprofit in East Thetford, for children entering grades 1 to 6. 2026 ran eight weeks, 9am to 4pm, and nearly all weeks were full.

Ages 6–12

A week-long summer farm day camp at a working micro-dairy and market garden in Hartland where children help with barn chores, meet Jersey cows and draft horses, and do garden work and crafts. The farm is taking deposits for 2027 and says 2026 sold out.

Common Ground Center, a year-round nonprofit facility in Starksboro, runs adventure day camps for children in grades K-6 during school vacation weeks, including a one-week summer camp for campers from the Addison and Chittenden County region. Summer activities include archery, tennis, swimming, creek and pond exploring, gardening, cooking and music. Teens ages 13-14 can apply as counselors in training.

Dunkley's is an overnight gymnastics camp on the shores of Lake Champlain that the camp calls Vermont's first and only sleepaway gymnastics camp. It takes about 50 campers per session, from beginners through USAG Level 9, with girls' weeks and two co-ed weeks. Afternoons add waterfront activities, martial arts, dance, art, cooking and woodworking.

Ages 4–14

Summer camps from Orchard Valley Waldorf School held at Grace Farm, a 55-acre campus with farm, garden, forest, meadow and river frontage. 2026 offered garden, farm and craft, kitchen and theater camps from July 6 to July 31.

Ages 7–12

Otter Day Camp is one of Vermont Wilderness School's longest-running programs, a nature- and wilderness-skills day camp for ages 7–12 held at Fort Dummer State Park in Brattleboro, with a published staff-to-camper ratio and named camp leadership.
